LCD and Plasma TVs - Buy Cheap and Buy Twice

Cheap TVs are available in all sorts of stores nowadays. Generic-brand televisions are found in discount stores and hardware stores alike. There are companies on the internet claiming they sell the cheapest TVs. The internet is full of companies selling TVs for cheap.

It seems that the favorite sizes for fullscreen TVs are between 19" and 32". Widescreen TVs are more popular in a bit larger size with 32" to 52" being the favorites. LCD fullscreen TVs come as small as 9 inches while the plasma TVs come in sizes as large as 103 inches!

LCD and plasma are the most common types of televisions. There are other types too, but LCD and plasma are currently the favorites. These TVs come in widescreens and fullscreens alike. Some TVs have a rounded screen while still others are flat screened. A consumer can hang their television on the wall now, besides putting it in the usual places, like the floor, a stand, or a table.

Cheap TVs come in all sorts of prices. Price depends on the make, the style, the size, and where it was purchased. This is especially true when purchased on the internet. A person can buy a cheap TV for a couple hundred pounds.

Cheap is cheap when it comes to purchasing either a plasma or an LCD TV. It really does not make a difference. LCD TVs come in bigger sizes than what they used to and now their prices are very competitive with the plasmas. Plasmas are well known for their enormous sizes available to the average consumer. The two types are two totally different technologies. A plasma TV uses hundreds of thousands of individual pixel cells. LCD televisions have liquid-crystal filled cells. These cells are between two sheets of glass. the crystals untwist when they are hit by an electrical charge in order to filter light provided by a lamp.

The average consumer will find that they start having trouble with their cheap plasma television or their cheap LCD television after just a few years. The picture may become blurry or fuzzy, the picture may start to shrink at the edges or get darker, or it may not work at all. Having it repaired is not the way to go. The expense incurred in repair costs would exceed the value of the television.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

The owner of the broken television has lost his money; basically, for buying that cheap television set. Now that consumer has to buy another TV which means he has spent double now for buying the cheapest TV he could find. If the consumer buys another cheap TV, the cycle continues. Companies are flourishing on people doing this.

Perhaps it would be better to spend more money on a TV and get a top-brand one. Granted they are more expensive, or are they? In the long run buying a Name brand TV will come out cheaper. They will last much longer than cheap TVs. Consumers should shop around for top-brand televisions.
